Old Pictures of the Carmel of Kirk Edge, UK

While Googling, I found some old black and white pictures of my future home, the Carmel of the Holy Spirit, Kirk Edge, Sheffield in the UK.  Below are two of them of a big size and the other two are, unfortunately, smaller and harder to see.  I am including two newer color photos to show the changes that occurred between the taking of them.  They seemed to have mowed down that expanse of lawn in front!

The building in the foreground at the entrance is called the “Lodge” where there are three flats/apartments:  one for the couple who are the groundskeepers and act as externs (running errands, shopping, taking the sisters to dental or medical visits, etc), one for 1-2 people who rent and the third for visits like myself when I visited them or for visiting family of the sisters who live far away.  Also a visiting priest may stay there.
